Exclusive Opportunities for Wheat Producers         As the government becomes less involved in agricultural regulations and the grain markets become more volatile we believe that producers will seek more diversified risk management strategies. NORTHERN STAR INTEGRATED SERVICES is proud to offer the Integrated Wheat Program. What is the Integrated Wheat Program? The Integrated Wheat Program is a risk management instrument designed to provide the producer a base revenue per acre that can be locked in without the normal production risks associated with Wheat production. Under the contract between NSIS and the producer, NSIS provides the inputs and purchases the grain from a producer at a negotiated revenue per acre. NSIS provides proven intensive wheat management practices that consistently achieve high yields and superior quality crops.     Risk Managment         Crop production information provided by the producer will be used to determine an “initial settlement per acre”. Based on this information NSIS Wheat Management Specialists can offer the producer contracts, which will limit downside production and quality risk but still allow the producer the ability to participate in the grain market. SEED NSIS will select only the highest quality varieties of seed which will provide superior yields and meet end user requirements. CROP INPUTS NSIS will pay for fertilizer, chemicals, application and crop consulting. All inputs will be carefully selected by NSIS or its designees and the timing and rates of all products will be applied based on the expertise of the NSIS consultants. GRAIN MARKETING The producer will be allowed to participate in the grain markets throughout the production season and NSIS will assist growers in pricing their grain. PRODUCER PROVIDES The producer will be responsible for the cost of seed, cultivation, planting, harvesting and delivering to the designated delivery points.
